The Commission is headed by a Board of Directors with a Chairman. The composition
of the Commission is as follows:
a) A Chairman;
b) The Financial Secretary or his representative;
c) The Commissioner of Insurance;
d) Two representatives of the Sierra Leone Insurance Association;
e) A representative of the Sierra Leone Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture;
f) A representative of the Sierra Leone Bar Association; and
g) Two other persons, one of whom shall be a woman.
The Chief Executive Officer of the Commission is the Commissioner of Insurance who is
responsible for the day-to-day administration of the Commission.The Deputy Chief Executive of the Commission is the Deputy Commissioner of Insurance.
He/she assists the Commissioner in the performance of his duties and shall
perform such other duties as the Commission may direct after consultations with
the Commissioner.
